Most mythologies depict battles between good and evil. In the Indian mythological story, the Ramayana, Prince Rama and his brother Prince Lakshmana fight the evil demon King Ravana. In Greek mythology, Zeus, his brothers Poseidon and Hades, as well as his sisters Hera, Demeter and Hestia, overthrow the tyrannical Titan Kronos and restore justice to the universe. Through the trials and tribulations of these heroes, these mythologies impart values and morals that form the backbone for a culture. These stories have been told and re-told by many over several generations.
Each storyteller has their own unique and interesting way of conveying them. My boys have read many fascinating and intriguing stories on mythology – Indian, Greek and Roman. They can see the parallels between the mythologies. Through Puranas we want to convey these ancient stories to young people across the world. We hope you enjoy our work.
